McConkey sends representatives to discuss Healthcare in Washington, DC

July 14-15, 2009:  Denny Lankford and John Olkowski were asked by McConkey & Co, and the Insurance Agents and Brokers Association to speak with Pennsylvania State Representatives and Senators about healthcare and thoughts on reform.  The discussions went very well, as the pair was able to have sit-down conversations with 5 different representatives from throughout Pennsylvania.  The goal was to be a resource for the Washington legislators as they look at various ways and methods to approach the healthcare topic in America today.  At the conclusion of each meeting, they were repeatedly thanked and received comments such as, "it is difficult for [us] to have frank conversation on the topic" and "we appreciate the knowledge of industry experts in helping us discern the insurance landscape and issues."
