John brings a wealth of knowledge and over 13 years of insurance experience to his clients at McConkey.  He has broad experience in the development and servicing of insurance programs for many industry groups and brings specific expertise to the manufacturing/distribution, public entity and financial institution industries.

Prior to joining McConkey in 2005, John worked with Nationwide Insurance, Sedgwick of Pennsylvania, Inc. and Marsh USA, Inc.  This experience exposed him to the claims and commercial brokerage areas of the industry.  He regularly draws upon those experiences to better service and advice to our current clients.

John holds an undergraduate degree from Temple University with a B.B.A. in Accounting and Risk Management/Insurance, and a graduate degree from Boston University with a M.S. in Insurance Management.    He is a recipient of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations.  He maintains producer's licenses in both Property & Casualty and Health, Life and Annuities. 

In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his family, reading and physical activities of all kinds.  He is a member of the Rotary Club of Harrisburg and the Pine Street Presbyterian Church.
