Norm
plays a vital role as one of the leaders of the McConkey
team. In his
position
as Vice
President & COO, Norm focuses on improving
efficiencies and quality of service through detailed
analysis and a broad base knowledge of business and
operational functions.
Professionally, his strengths lie in risk
analysis for large companies.
Through his careful analysis, Norm assures
that the best risk funding mechanisms are designed and
executed for each client.
He is a magna cum laude graduate of
Clarion
University
and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
designation. Norm
joined E.K. McConkey in 1979 after working for a large
national insurance company for several years.
He has served on various insurance company agents
councils, regional and national High Performance
Councils for CNA and on the Independent Agents and
Brokers Board of Directors.
Norm is an active community volunteer.
He has served as a volunteer coach for youth
sports, as a Sunday School teacher, and an active member
of his local Rotary Club.
Norm lives in the
York
area with his wife, Tina, and their four children.
In his free time, he enjoys golf, travel, reading
and watching movies.
