With more than two decades of experience navigating complex insurance and liability matters, Andrew brings a rare blend of legal insight, strategic thinking, and client-first advocacy to McConkey’s claims team.
Before joining McConkey, Andrew was a shareholder at Caldwell & Kearns, P.C., where he built a respected legal practice focused on auto insurance disputes, general negligence, subrogation, complex litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, and motor vehicle accident cases. Throughout his legal career, Andrew was known for standing up for clients who felt overwhelmed or unheard, guiding them through high-stakes situations with clarity, confidence, and care.
At McConkey, Andrew leverages his extensive litigation and insurance defense experience to proactively manage claims, reduce exposure, and advocate for fair outcomes on behalf of clients. His approach is rooted in understanding the full story behind every claim, anticipating challenges before they escalate, and working collaboratively with carriers, counsel, and internal teams to deliver results.
Andrew earned his undergraduate degree from Susquehanna University in 1998 and his Juris Doctor from the Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University in 2001. He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and Maryland and has been admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and has been actively involved with the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Dauphin County Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. Outside of work, Andrew is passionate about coaching youth sports and giving back to the community, continuing his lifelong commitment to mentoring and advocacy – both on and off the field.
