Mike joined the McConkey team in May 2020 as an Employee Benefits Executive Consultant in our Benefits division. He comes to us with more than 25 years of experience with a focus in health and welfare benefits. He was most recently with Highmark where he spent more than 7 years leading a client management team in the commercial large group market. In addition to holding licenses in Accident & Health, Life & Fixed Annuities, and Property & Casualty, he has a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation from the Wharton School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina, Columbia.
Mike is active in the community and serves in officer roles on boards for the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC) and Capital Area Greenbelt Association (CAGA). He is a 2014 graduate of the Leadership Harrisburg Area Program.
Originally from Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania, Mike now lives in Harrisburg with his wife, Cheri. Together they have several rescue pets. When he isn’t working or volunteering, Mike enjoys outdoor activities including bicycling, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, and hiking.
