Alex Kauffman

Alex joined the team in June 2023 as a Surety Bond Executive. Prior to joining McConkey, Alex worked in the commercial banking industry for ten years as a Vice President in the commercial lending group at Mid Penn Bank. In his previous banking role, Alex managed a large portfolio of commercial clients primarily in the construction, real estate, manufacturing and medical industries with an extensive background in financial analysis, credit risk management and business development.

Alex received the Chairman’s Award for 2022 at Mid Penn Bank following several years of rapidly growing his reputation and book of commercial clients in Central Pennsylvania, while additionally mentoring several peers in the organization.

Alex’s background will provide him with valuable insight in catering to each client’s specific surety needs while he is managing and growing the established book and working closely with the rest of the bond department.

Alex grew up in the Mechanicsburg area and still resides there today with his wife, Whitney, and their four children. They are very active within their church and enjoy pursuing their musical interests together throughout Central Pennsylvania. Alex also sits on the board of New Hope Ministries and is the chair of their admin and finance committee.

In his spare time, Alex enjoys spending time with his sons and daughters, playing the drums and guitar, traveling, and reading.
