Contact Ian
Ian was a former intern and rejoined the McConkey team in 2022. He currently serves as a Business Insurance Executive and partners with businesses to develop strategic insurance and risk management solutions that support long-term success.
Prior to joining McConkey, Ian gained valuable experience after earning dual degrees in Finance and Mathematics from Shippensburg University. His expertise includes group captives, captive financial analysis, heavy construction underwriting, and contractual risk transfer, allowing him to help clients identify opportunities to better manage risk and control insurance costs. He also holds a Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) and Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designations.
Ian primarily serves clients in the construction, engineering, manufacturing, and entertainment industries. He enjoys partnering with multi-generational family-owned businesses, helping them navigate evolving risks while supporting the next generation of business leaders.
Ian serves as the Emerging Leaders Chair for ABC Keystone, is a member of Next Gen Lancaster, and chairs McConkey’s Community Outreach Committee.
A graduate of Dallastown Area High School, Ian currently lives in Lancaster County. Outside of work, he enjoys road cycling, camping, and hiking with his wife, son, and golden retriever, Benson. You may also find him visiting new breweries or wine bars on the weekends.
The best advice Ian has ever received is, “If it’s meant to be, it’s up to me.” – His Dad.
