Tod joined the McConkey team in December 2010 as a Business Insurance Executive, producing new business and managing client portfolios. By using the risk management process, Tod is able to help his clients avoid or mitigate losses and lower their cost of insurance and overall risk.
Tod specializes in identifying and anticipating risk exposures for complex accounts. His diverse background allows him to protect his clients and negotiate with insurance companies for comprehensive coverages at affordable prices.
Tod is a graduate of Hempfield High School and a Cum Laude graduate from Millersville University with a degree in business finance. He brings 30 years of insurance experience to McConkey. He has worked with four different commercial insurance companies in addition to having been an agent/broker since 2004. His experience includes the following: Commercial Underwriter, Legal Liaison, Expert Witness, Claims, and Loss Control/Risk Management. Tod enjoys building relationships with his customers and helping them protect their businesses.
Tod was named “Underwriter of the Year” by the Central Pennsylvania Insurance Alliance in both 1999 and 2000 and was nominated for the Professional Insurance Agents “Sales Representative of the Year” several times. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designations.
In his spare time, Tod serves as a trustee at his church and as a trainer with Assets Lancaster (a training center for individuals starting their own businesses). He enjoys spending time with his daughter, Ashley, hunting, fishing, golf, skiing, and cheering on the Los Angeles Rams and the St. Louis Cardinals.
