Tyler Smith

Tyler joined the team in November 2023 as a Business Insurance Consultant in our Commercial Lines Division. In this role he handles a book of business and works closely with the rest of the Property and Casualty team.

Prior to joining McConkey, Tyler was an Account Executive with Keystone Insurance for over a year. Before Keystone, he was with Farmers Fire Insurance Company as a Surplus Lines Manager and Claims and Underwriting Associate for close to five years. Tyler is licensed in Property & Casualty insurance and working toward his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.

Tyler is an Allegheny College graduate with a degree in Psychology and a double minor in Economics and Philosophy. However, he grew up in the world of insurance and it runs in his family, so ultimately insurance became his career choice.

Originally from Hanover, Tyler now lives in Waynesboro with his girlfriend, Joyella, and their daughters, Layla and Nova. They hope to move back to the York area soon. When he isn’t working and being a dad, Tyler enjoys working out, watching sports, and doing handywork as a side gig.
