Ed was hired in January 2020 to fill a brand new role at McConkey: Director of Claims. In this position he will work directly as an advocate with clients on complex claims in order to ensure they are aggressively and properly managed. This is a very unique role for insurance brokers of McConkey’s size; it stemmed from the growing needs of captive, self-insured and multifaceted clients who require assistance with proactive claims handling.
Prior to McConkey, Ed worked for the law firm Post & Schell, where he was an Associate in their Workers’ Compensation department. Before that he served as an Assistant District Attorney within the Lancaster County District Attorney’s office.
Ed was born and raised in Lititz. He graduated from Lebanon Valley College, where he played football, as well as the University of Richmond Law School. He now lives in Lancaster County. In his spare time, Ed enjoys attending comedy shows and is an avid 76ers fan.
